Hume Libraries Knockout Tournament

First Anniversary September 2010 Knockout Tournament
Hume City Council Chess Knockout Tournaments
Calling all Chess Masters and regular players of the Hume City Council Chess
clubs for the first year Anniversary Chess Knockout Tournaments to be run in
August & September 2010.
There will be three Tournaments on different dates at Broadmeadows, Sunbury
and Craigieburn.
Have fun battling it out as we try to find our local Chess Master.
Championship Trophies will be awarded.
This is a free event open to all ages in the Junior under 16 years & Senior categories
The players will play two rounds one as black and one as white against a nominated opponent of similar strength.
Bookings & registration Essential  on 93566900 Broadmeadows or 9356 6970 Sunbury
Once the tournament commences at 1600 hours no further applications will be accepted for entry.
Registered players will be required to re-confirm registration at least 15 Minutes before the start of the Tournament
All registered players or their parents  will need to be a member of  the Hume Libraries network.

David enjoying the Hume Libraries

Last September we received a visit from David Cordover, here he is enjoying the moment, that must have been one of the lucky nights as i can see the free lollies on the table. You can see from the previous photo below we are a little more organised  now with respect to seating placements and we now use the fabulous tournament standard chess sets and digital chess clocks provided by David and Chessworld to enhance the experience.
